NO. 5 SPARTANS HOST BISONS IN FINAL HOME WEEKEND

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western University's No. 5-ranked women's volleyball team will host the Manitoba Bisons at Langley Events Centre in the Spartans final regular season home weekend. With two wins, TWU would clinch first place in Canada West for the first time in the program's history.

THE WEEKEND STORY
• TWU will look to bounce back after getting swept at the hands of MacEwan Griffins this past weekend.
• With a weekend sweep of their own, the Spartans would clinch first place in Canada West and secure home court advantage for the duration of the conference playoffs.
• The Spartans are on pace for their best single-season attacking percentage in program history, as they have a .236 hitting percentage entering the weekend. The current record is .234, which was set in 2015-16.
• Michaelyn Sych (Airdire, Alta.) enters the weekends leading Canada West in blocks, with 1.35 per set, and is second in the conference in hitting percentage, at .376.
• TWU has won three straight regular season matches against the Bisons, dating back to Jan. 12, 2018.
• Including the regular season and playoffs, the Spartans are 20-20 all-time against Manitoba.
• Since 2010-11, TWU is 14-3 against Manitoba.
• Manitoba's Libero Cassie Bujan (Manitoba) will be one to watch as she sits first in all of Canada West with 4.83 digs per set.
