TWU Head Coach Cheryl Jean-Paul
On the game

"A lot of valuable lessons were learnt this weekend. Although we have a lot to work on, we definitely saw an improvement over the span of the three games and took some big steps forward in terms of understanding how to play at this level and what it will take to win games this season. To have these opportunities so early in the fall will only drive our training in the coming weeks so I'm excited to get back to training in order to continue building on what we've learnt about ourselves in the past few days."

  • The Spartans were without fifth year guard Jessie Brown, who did not make the trip to Ontario.

The Spartans open the Canada West season on Oct. 26-27 when they will host the UBC Okanagan Heat.
