    WHITE NAMED CANADA WEST FIRST STAR OF THE WEEK LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s Declan White (South Surrey, B.C.) was named the Canada West Male First Star of the Week after he made program history over the weekend, when he became the first Spartans male cross country athlete to win the Canada West individual title while also finishing second overall amongst U Sports athletes.

    CIS TOP 10 | SPARTANS WSOC & WXC NO. 2, MXC NO. 4 LANGLEY, British Columbia – After an impressive road weekend in which Trinity Western’s women’s soccer team earned back-to-back wins over UBC and Victoria, the Spartans remained No. 2 in the CIS Top 10. The Spartans women’s cross country team also stayed at No. 2 while TWU’s men’s cross country team dropped one spot to No. 4.

    COLYN TO REPRESENT CANADA AT IAAF WORLD U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s Nick Colyn (Langley) will represent Canada at the IAAF World U20 Championships this year in Bydgoszcz, Poland, as the Spartan steeplechaser earned the right to compete at the biennial event after clocking the fastest 3000m SC time in the country amongst junior-eligible athletes earlier this year.

    BENSON LEADS STRONG SPARTANS CONTINGENT INTO OLYMPIC TRIALS LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western alumnus Fiona Benson (Dawson Creek, B.C.) will be aiming for Olympic qualification in the 800m this weekend as she leads a 13-athlete delegation of Spartans or former Spartans into the 2016 Canadian Championships and Rio Selection Trials in Edmonton July 7-10.
