WHITE 21ST AT CANADIAN CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

VANCOUVER – Trinity Western's Declan White (South Surrey, B.C.) was the Spartans top runner on the men's side at the 2014 Canadian Cross Country Championships as the second-year student-athlete finished 21st overall in the senior race at Jericho Beach Saturday.

White completed the 10 kilometre course in 33:32. He was followed by Joel De Schiffart (Nanaimo, B.C.) and Blair Johnston (White Rock, B.C.) who both finished in 34:21 to earn 35th and 36th overall, respectively.

In the junior divisions, Caleb de Jong (Winnipeg) led the Spartans men by finishing 22nd over the eight kilometre race in 27:56.
