SPARTANS DROP FOUR SET MATCH TO WOLFPACK

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia – The Trinity Western men's volleyball team lost their first match of the season 3-1 to the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Saturday night in Kamloops, B.C.

The three-time defending Canada West champion Spartans evened their preseason record at 1-1 with the 25-20, 21-25, 23-25, 24-16 loss to the WolfPack.

The Spartans will continue preseason training over the next two weeks before suiting up again at the Blue Team Cup October 11-13.

QUOTABLE

TWU Head Coach Ben Josephson

"It was a very intense game tonight. We didn't play as well as we did last night and they served the ball really well. We had too many errors tonight to overcome a WolfPack team who were very strong. Lots of good things to evaluate and work on as we head home."
