    LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western pole vaulter David Boyd (Victoria) cleared an unofficial personal best 5.00m at the Spartan Pole Vault Classic, becoming the first person to ever go over the five-metre mark inside the David E. Enarson Gymnasium.

    SEATTLE – Trinity Western’s James Lam (Langley, B.C.) and Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) set the Spartans men’s and women’s 1000m records to lead the Langley-based contingent Sunday at the University of Washington Indoor Open at the Dempsey Indoor.

    SEATTLE – Trinity Western's Tyler de Jong (Langley) posted a time of 1:54.95 in the 800m to finish 29th overall and lead the Spartans at the University of Washington's Husky Classic Saturday, while pole vaulter David Boyd (Victoria) cleared 4.87m to finish eighth.

    PULLMAN, Wash. – Trinity Western’s star second-year athletes Denzel Brown (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) and Maxime Léveillé (Shefford, Que.) each broke Spartan records Friday, with Brown earning a record-setting mark of 14.79m in triple jump and Léveillé clearing a TWU best-ever 4.90m in pole vault at the Washington State University’s Cougar Indoor.

    COQUITLAM, British Columbia – Trinity Western alum James Linde (Coquitlam) had a night to remember at the Harry Jerome Classic, as he posted personal bests in both the 200m, winning in 20.76, and the 100m, finishing second only to Canadian Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse in 10.42 Wednesday at Percy Perry Stadium. Fellow Spartans alum Nathan George (Coquitlam) also earned top prize in his race, notching a season’s best time of 46.33 to win the 400m.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Incoming Trinity Western sprinter Ben Tjernagel (New Westminster, B.C.) and recently graduated senior James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.) will get a chance to step into the blocks alongside three-time Canadian Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse, as the Spartans duo will compete against the track superstar in the 100m at the Harry Jerome Classic Wednesday at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam, B.C.
