  • FOUR ATHLETES EARN PERSONAL BEST MARKS AT SPARTAN CHALLENGE

    LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western’s men’s and women’s track and field teams got off to an impressive start in the first competition of the season, as four athletes cleared unofficial personal best marks at the Spartan Pole Vault Challenge Saturday at the David E. Enarson Gymnasium.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western has four teams ranked in the top five in the country, with the two-time defending national champion Spartans men’s volleyball team leading the way at No. 1 in the U SPORTS Top 10, the men’s cross country team coming in at No. 3 and both the women’s soccer team and women’s cross country team slotting in at No. 5.

    TAIPEI CITY – Trinity Western alum James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.) made history Saturday as he became the Spartans first ever medallist at the Summer Universiade, winning silver in the 200m in Taipei City.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western will be well-represented at this year’s Summer Universiade, with current Spartan Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) joined by three TWU alums, in James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.), Nathan George (Coquitlam) and Nikki Cornwall (Coquitlam), as they don the Maple Leaf, Taipei City.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western University will have three athletes representing Canada at the 2017 Summer Universiade (FISU) in Taiwan, with track and field stars Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.), Nathan George (Coquitlam, B.C.) and James Linde (Coquitlam) set to compete in the biennial FISU (Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire) competition Aug. 19-30.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western alum Nathan George (Coquitlam, B.C.) earned a medal in the 400m for the second year in a row at the Canadian Track & Field Championships, taking silver this past weekend in 46.57.

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western will be well-represented at the 2017 Canadian Track & Field Championships this weekend in Ottawa, as 13 Spartan athletes, including incoming and current students as well as alumni will compete on the national stage, starting Friday at the Terry Fox Athletic Facility.
  • LINDES WINS 200M, FINISHES SECOND TO DE GRASSE IN 100M; GEORGE WINS 400M

    COQUITLAM, British Columbia – Trinity Western alum James Linde (Coquitlam) had a night to remember at the Harry Jerome Classic, as he posted personal bests in both the 200m, winning in 20.76, and the 100m, finishing second only to Canadian Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse in 10.42 Wednesday at Percy Perry Stadium. Fellow Spartans alum Nathan George (Coquitlam) also earned top prize in his race, notching a season’s best time of 46.33 to win the 400m.
  • TJERNAGEL, LINDE TO RACE OLYMPIC MEDALLIST DE GRASSE AT HARRY JEROME

    LANGLEY, British Columbia – Incoming Trinity Western sprinter Ben Tjernagel (New Westminster, B.C.) and recently graduated senior James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.) will get a chance to step into the blocks alongside three-time Canadian Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse, as the Spartans duo will compete against the track superstar in the 100m at the Harry Jerome Classic Wednesday at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam, B.C.
