MEN’S 4X800M TEAM FINISHES FIRST ON DAY ONE AT COUGAR INDOOR

PULLMAN, Washington – Trinity Western's men's 4x800m team finished first with a time of 7:47.00 to highlight the first day of action at the Washington State University's Cougar Indoor Friday.

The 4x800m team featured Adam Marshall (Langley, B.C.), James Lam (Langley), Tyler de Jong (Langley) and Declan White (South Surrey, B.C.). The Spartans effort was just under five seconds off the school record of 7:42.12, which was set at last year's Canada West championship meet Feb. 27, 2016 in Saskatoon.

Also on the track, TWU's 4x200m team finished second in 1:35.59.

In the field, James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.) was fifth in long jump with a mark of 6.72m, while first-year Aaron Postma (Abbotsford, B.C.) wasn't far behind in sixth with a jump of 6.70m.

The Spartans are back in action Saturday for the second day of the Cougar Indoor.
