LÉVEILLÉ TAKES TOP SPOT AT SPARTANS POLE VAULT OPEN

LANGLEY, British Columbia – First-year Maxime Léveillé (Shefford, Que.) topped all competitors at the Spartans Pole Vault Open, clearing 4.40m Saturday at the David E. Enarson Gym.

Léveillé performance is his best as a Spartan, bettering the 4.20m he cleared last weekend at the University of Washington Indoor Preview.

Chris Weiss (West Vancouver, B.C.) was second, clearing 4.10m, and Glen Johnston (South Surrey, B.C.) was third with a mark of 3.95m.

The Spartans are back in action next weekend when they compete in the University of Washington Invitational Jan. 27-28 in Seattle.
