SPARTANS SET TO TRAVEL TO SASKATOON FOR SERIES WITH HUSKIES

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western’s men’s basketball team will travel to Saskatchewan this weekend to take on the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. The Spartans are coming off two losses to the U SPORTS No. 4-ranked University of Calgary Dinos and are looking to get back to winning ways.

THE WEEKEND STORY
• The Spartans will look to bounce back after a weekend sweep on home court at the hands of the Calgary Dinos.
• Prior to last weekend, TWU had earned its first win of the season, beating Fraser Valley on the road 80-74.
• The Huskies are coming off back-to-back wins against UBC Okanagan.
• Fifth-year Spartan Pogos Trunyan (Sacramento, Calif.) will be looking to build off his career high 33-point performance in Friday’s game against Calgary. He added a team high 19-point performance Saturday.
• The last time these two teams met was in the 2015-16 season, when the Huskies took both games in a weekend sweep.
• A key performer for the Huskies will be fourth-year guard Lawrence Moore. Moore finished last weekend with team highs in points, steals and assists. He is fifth in Canada West with 21.6 points per game.
