U SPORTS TOP 10 | MEN’S VOLLEYBALL NO. 1 IN FINAL RANKINGS OF SEASON

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western men’s volleyball team is ranked No. 1 in the final U SPORTS Top 10 of the year, capping a season in which the Spartans sat atop the national rankings in all but one of the weekly rankings.

After opening the season at No. 1, the Spartans put together a 22-2 regular season record to finish in first place in the Canada West standings. The Spartans built on that by winning their first four playoff games, extending their playoff winning streak to 18 matches, dating back to 2015-16.

The two-time defending Canada West champion Spartans will now host Alberta in the Canada West Championship Saturday at 8 p.m. (PT) at the Langley Events Centre.

Both the Spartans and Bears have already earned berths into the U SPORTS championship tournament, which will be hosted by McMaster University, Mar.16-18, in Hamilton, Ont.
