U SPORTS TOP 10 | MVB NO.2, WVB NO. 3, WOMEN’S T&F NO. 9

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western’s women’s track and field team jumped into the U SPORTS Top 10 for the first time this year, slotting in at No. 9, while the Spartans men’s volleyball team remained at No. 2 and the women’s volleyball team stayed at No. 3 in the latest polls.

After a successful two-day meet at Washington State University, the women’s track and field team is in the Top 10 for the first time since the final week of the 2015-16 season. Last year, the team came in at No. 8 five times, in weeks five through nine.

The team will compete this weekend at the University of Washington Husky Classic Feb. 10-11 and the University of Washington Open Feb. 12.

On the volleyball court, the men’s team is No. 2 for the second week in a row after beating No. 9 Brandon on back-to-back nights last weekend.

The Spartans women’s volleyball team is No. 3 in the country for the seventh straight week following the team’s weekend sweep of Brandon.

Both volleyball teams have a bye this weekend before travelling to play Winnipeg Feb. 17-18.
